Apple AirPrint
All MAXIFY printers support the AirPrint function built into iPhone®, iPad® and iPod® Touch devices, allowing for wireless printing without installing any software. Your Apple device automatically detects the printer on the Wi-Fi network and allows you to wirelessly print photos, emails, web pages and other documents.
MAXIFY printing apps
Download Canon’s free printing apps for Android or Apple mobile devices and use your MAXIFY wirelessly from smartphones and tablets. The apps automatically find compatible MAXIFY wireless printers on a Wi-Fi network and let you remotely access printing and scanning functions.
Canon PRINT app
The Canon PRINT app lets you wirelessly print from and scan to your Android and Apple mobile devices on the local network or directly using the printers built-in Access Point Mode. You can also check printer status, ink information and access the online printer manual as well as MAXIFY Cloud Link services.
The Canon PRINT app is available as a free download on the App Store and Google Play.
Canon’s Print Service plug-in
Canon Print Service is a print plugin for Android* smart devices, which enables printing to many compatible Canon printers (PIXMA, MAXIFY, i-SENSYS, imageRUNNER) via a Wi-Fi network. This plugin it is designed to work within selected Android apps by enabling the print button and therefore it doesn’t work as a standalone app.
Windows RT
Windows RT tablets supports MAXIFY printers with the Windows operating system built-in driver. Once the tablet recognises a compatible printer on the network the Canon utility appears on the Windows RT desktop. It allows for wireless printing and scanning without requiring any app installation.
Access Point Mode
What if you don’t have a router or access to a wireless network? MAXIFY printers support Access Point Mode, which creates an ad hoc wireless network - so you can print directly from your smartphone or tablet using the Canon PRINT app or Apple AirPrint.
Cloud printing
Get more from your printer and enjoy the freedom of internet printing. The cloud-aware MAXIFY printers allow you to print content from online cloud services directly from the printer screen or send files to print over the internet from your smartphone and tablet.
