Meet Shiru Ndegwa, a 15-year-old creator whose journey with the Canon Academy Juniors programme sparked a flame of inspiration within her. Instead of keeping her newfound knowledge to herself, Shiru boldly approached her trainer with a unique vision—to share her passion for photography with other children her own age.

Her goal- to ignite creativity and self-expression in those who may lack exposure to such opportunities.

Canon Academy Juniors partners with KidZania Cairo, Egypt!

A thrilling new addition to interactive play has been introduced by Canon at KidZania Cairo, with the Canon Photography Studio. This innovative space offers children aged 8 to 14 an immersive experience to explore the captivating world of photography. With Canon's expertise, the children are taken on a journey to become a photographer. Firstly they learn about the camera, how it works and the functions before taking center stage to capture their own moments and printing out their favourite shots. Join us in sparking the passion for photography and empowering the next generation of storytellers!

How can you join the Canon Academy Juniors programme?

Below you will find our Canon Academy Juniors partners.

  • Kindly, send us an email on: canoneducation@canon-cna.com and we will assist you with your registration process.

  • If you have your own Canon camera, then definitely to bring it along during your sessions so our Canon trainers can help you discover the full potential of your camera. In the case where you do not have a personal Canon camera, then we will provide you with one to use during the sessions so that you have some hands-on practical training.

  • Yes, once you complete the four sessions of a cycle, you will receive a certificate.

  • Yes, it is possible, simply send us an email on: canoneducation@canon-cna.com explain your situation and we will help you with your registration.

  • This is a single ongoing course that consists of four sessions. Currently, we do not offer Canon Academy Junior’s advanced level courses. However, stay posted for any updates by regularly checking our page.

  • Canon Academy Junior sessions mainly depend on hands on and practical training which is why all our sessions are usually conducted physically rather than online. However, stay posted for any changes by regularly checking our page.

  • If you have purchased other Canon accessories, then you are more than welcome to bring them along for your session, our trainers would be more than happy to help you with any questions and aid you might need with your Canon accessories.
