MIRAISHA 10TH ANNIVERSARY: SCHOLARSHIPS

One of the Miraisha Programme's core visions is to help young people unlock their potential and realize their dreams. In celebration of the Miraisha Programme's 10th Anniversary, we proudly awarded 10 scholarships to talented young individuals across Africa. This initiative underscores our steadfast commitment to fostering skills development and creating opportunities within the creative industry.

These scholarships, granted through our esteemed partners—Kings and Queens Art Academy in Nigeria, Zebra Productions in Kenya, and Lens on Life in Cameroon—have been awarded to recipients who share a common trait: an unwavering passion and dedication to the creative arts.

The scholarship recipients will be pursuing diverse courses, including photography, film and television production, theater arts, music, and more. The Miraisha 10th Anniversary Scholarship is designed to support them in upskilling and achieving their dreams of becoming professionals in their chosen fields, further enriching the creative industry across Africa.

NIGERIA

Four recipients from Nigeria stood out during the Miraisha x Kings and Queens Basic Photography Workshop. Now, they are furthering their education at PEFTI Film Institute, pursuing certificates in the following fields: Film Production, Performing Arts and Music

This nine-month program at PEFTI Film Institute, a leading provider of practical professional training in film, performing arts, music, business, fashion, and technology, will equip them with the skills and expertise needed to excel in their chosen careers. PEFTI has a history of collaborating with the Miraisha Programme to nurture creative talent in Nigeria.

KENYA

Three recipients from Kenya are enrolled at KCA University, where they are pursuing a Certificate in Film Technology over eight months.

KCA University is renowned for its practical training approach and strong industry connections, offering students invaluable work experience through internships and real-world projects. The university’s experienced faculty ensures that students gain both theoretical and practical knowledge to thrive in the creative industry.

CAMEROON

Three recipients from Cameroon are undertaking a 12-month programme at Institut de Formation et de Conservation du Patrimoine Audiovisuel (IFCPA/CRTV), earning certificates in various disciplines, including: Photojournalism, Production Video Editing and Multimedia Infographics and Design IFCPA/CRTV plays a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of media professionals in Cameroon, contributing significantly to the country’s media and creative industries.

These scholarships represent our unwavering commitment to supporting young talent in Africa, enabling them to unlock their full potential and achieve their dreams in the creative industry.
