Theme: Documentary Photography

Number of Images: 8 to10 images

Age: 18 years and above

Location: Resident of Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, or Tanzania

Language: Submit entries in English

1. Prepare your portfolio:

• Gather 8-10 of your strongest documentary photographs.
• Write a short bio (max 100 words) introducing yourself and your photography.
• Take a professional portrait photo.

2. Email your portfolio:

• Send your portfolio, along with your full name, to our education email address: canoneducation@canon-cna.com
• If you are selected, a meeting link for virtual portfolio review will be shared with you.

• Only entries that meet the submission criteria will be considered for review.
• The deadline for submissions is May 19th, 2024.
• By submitting your portfolio entry, You (the photographer) warrant that:
• You are the sole author of the images/photos,
• o You are the owner of the proprietary rights to the images/photos,
  o the image and any element appearing in the image do not infringe any rights (including intellectual property, moral or privacy rights) of any third party,
  o in the case where a person or person’s image appears in the image, you have obtained written permission from those people(s) for Canon Group to use their image(s)
  o in the case where the images/photos have been taken in another country than the ones stated, You have complied with the law applicable to such country, including but not limited to any intellectual property, moral, privacy and proprietary legal requirements.
